Solitude

In the still
I hear
a prayer whispered from my heart

tears from knees falling

hair confused
neglected

In the silence
i hear

myself
yearning for faith

the whimper of a lonely heart

my mind begging for rest

quiet

It is time
for a
long

Pause

Gentle Man

I needed you

Gentle Man

to visit my broken beliefs
I was so…

tired

Assurance
capsized
I didn’t believe any more
couldn’t imagine any more

One night I reached toward heaven
and pleaded

Please
Let my hope live

Then you stopped by

With space and respect
With my robe
that had been stolen long ago

You covered me
Let me breath again
opened every door
every thought
and let me be in peace

Without asking for return

You revitalized my ailing ideals
smoothed the lines on my brow
Initiated healing
Confirmed that if God is a real man
He loves women

You brought me living water
filled my canteen
and sent me on my way
to a whole heart

I had prayed for a life time
received a change of mind
but you weren’t mine
You were stopping by

Man!
you revived
my dying heart

In His Eyes

Life Lover
Freedom fighter
Finder
Asking subject to be beautiful
As is

Capturing the core
nurturing acceptance

His eyes
are a playground
where women wounded with woes
become girls again
Free
vulnerable
They become whole
fall in love with their lives

Battles are now lessons
bruises now the potter’s hands
shaping them from pretty girls into
Goddesses.

Scars
led to epiphanies
Every stretch mark
evidence of love embodied
Cheeks
fluffy kiss magnets
Wrinkles
signs of long lasting joy

In his eyes
Earth tones illuminated
Lustrous luxurious cocoa glows
Mounds curve into Woman
In his lens
angles of love

Justice served
In a captured moment
Rare beauty revealed
Art epitomized
Received by subject and an Artist
Dedicated to exposing the kingdom within.
This poem is dedicated to my friend and photographer Jirard. www.jirard.com

Persist (A Letter To My Artistry Family)

In spite of the gloom of motionlessness

In the face of lackluster possessions

An Audience committed or scattered in their own sufferings

Love harder, Hope stronger

Your hope is the heartbeat of our time’s soul

Dance every step with fervor

Every toe kindles the life in the hearts of each witness

Leap with recklessness and complete commitment

Burn poems onto the cedar onto the skin of peace

Your words are insight, foresight, spiritual sight into the

Should be Cut away at the disease that digs deep into the courage of the masses

Embody the voices of thoughts unborn

Bring life to the people we could be

Be the most vulnerable of who we are

Sing with all your torment

The anguish and euphoria of a life

Lived in extremes

Release the feelings no one can fathom

Get intimate with the soul

And be

The

Other

That outsider

Living in the margins of modern

Selfness

Be the extreme other Balancing what

is

with what Can

Be

Permalink Liza: What’s up Jesus!
Jesus: Hey Liza! What’s going on?
Liza: What do I say this Easter, for my poem of the day?
Jesus: Tell them, they don’t have to believe, they only need to receive.
Liza: Receive what?
Jesus: Unconditional, Everlasting Love.
Liza: OK… so you want us to receive the idea that God loves us enough to send his only son to be crucified so we can be free?
Jesus: Yes.
Liza: Why not a daughter, Jesus? I mean why didn’t God send his only beloved daughter?
Jesus: Get over yourself, Liza.
Liza: OK… But Jesus, I was taught that if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ and the resurrection, you can’t go to heaven.
Jesus: Who told you that?
Liza: They did.
Jesus: Who are they?
Liza: The Ministers, the Pastors, The Bible….
Jesus: Stop BLINDLY listening to others. Listen to them but listen to me. And reread the Bible for clarity but this time read with your heart,Liza.
Liza: Jesus… I’m sorry but uh…The Bible makes me fall asleep.
Jesus: Read it in the morning with coffee.
Liza: OK. Oh yeah, Thanks for the Love
Jesus: You’re so welcome.
Happy Easter.

Imagine this, us
loving wholly without fear
brave hearts pouring free

2
Heal my broken heart
wipe away years of torment
make this life anew

3
Hate to admit you
have power abundantly
to destroy and heal

4
evolutionary
needing Independently
evolved male lover

5
if you are softer
Queen, be with a softer King
who protects your way

6
Do not deny love
reject cold, dark, indifference
heart only gives heart

7
loneliness shows
we need each other madly
in case you forgot

8
I am not your view
but a cacophony
of desires to love

9
I want to forgive
but i am paying your debt
Worn, cleaning your mess

10
Saving the whole world?
Save your lover and children
maybe then the world
